Jim began his Real Estate career in Northern Virginia over 46 years
ago. He has been actively involved in corporate real estate, commercial
site acquisition and development. He has owned and managed a
real estate company and residential construction company in the
southeast.
Jim has been back in the Northern Virginia market since 2001. In that
time he has earned coveted designation of “Top 5% of Realtors nationwide”,
Northern Virginia Association of Realtors Top Producers and
Multi-Million Dollar Clubs. In Addition, while an Associate Broker
with Weichert Realtors, he earned the coveted Chairman of the Board
Award.
Jim served as Supervising Broker of the Springfield office of Avery-
Hess, Realtors from 2003 to 2006, the office maintained an average of
11.1 days on the market, and an average sales price of 101.2% of list.
Following that Jim assumed the leadership of Van Metre Real Estate,
forming his current team there. Since January of 2007, the VMR Team
has averaged 64 days on the market for sold properties with an average sales price of 97% of the average list price.  The specialized marketing plan that Jim has insures the top price in the least amount of time.
